Be ready for your wave. You will be scratched from the heat if you are not available.

Event Entry Information
- Parking: Parking is free. For the shortest walk, please park just south of C Gate
- Unloading: You will need to carry your crate, etc a short distance from the parking lot to the splash dogs area.
- Event Entry: Pre-registered participants will go to the information booth at B Gate to pick up your free entry pass. You will then proceed around the corner to the service entry gate. Family members and friends must enter through the regular gates and pay for entry.
- Crating: This info will be posted when it is available
- VERY IMPORTANT: NO DOGS OUTSIDE THE SPLASHDOGS AREA!!!! We request that dogs be crated when not participating in the event.
Event Details
- The top 24 dogs overall will meet in the finals on Sunday, August 24th. The top 12 will qualify for the Pro finals and the next 12 qualify for the Open Finals.
- There will be a Lap Dog and Junior Handler Finals immediately prior to the Open Finals.
- Team Jumps - We are excited to bring a new game to you! You can win money even if your dog doesn't jump the farthest! In the team jump, you will be put into teams of 3. You may request your team, or ask to be placed on a team. A handler may only handle one dog on a given team (however a handler may be on multiple teams with different dogs). A dog may only be on a single team. Each team member will take two competition jumps. Any "No Jump" score causes a team to be ineligible for placements. No "Passing" is allowed. Before the start of the wave, all teams will be asked to present their "guess" at their teams total combined jump scores (including all 6 jumps). Teams will then be placed according to how close their guess is to the sum of their actual combined jump scores. Each team member will pay the $20 wave entry fee. 50% the wave entry fees from this wave will go to payout the winners. 1st place gets 60%, 2nd place gets 30%, 3rd place gets 10%. In the event of a tie for any of the first 3 places, we will do a single jump team jump off - the team with the guess closest to the combined score of the 3 jumps will win the tie. All jumps from this wave also count towards qualifying for the finals and also for rankings and titles. Team jump waves may NOT be paid for with Splash Bucks.
Event Rules/Information
- This is an OUTDOOR event to be run into a POOL.
- The dock will feature "THE DOCK" a 40' custom built trailer, Astro turf surface
- Training for new comers and others will be provided.
- This event will be open to all dog / handler teams who wish to enter as space and time permits.
- Please bring crate to store your dog or have other means to store your dog.
- Abuse will not be tolerated.
- Please have dogs' shots up to date, tags or bring current shot and vaccine papers. Please be responsible for the safety of your dog and others!!!
- Dog / handler teams may enter only one or as many Waves as they wish (a separate entry fee must be paid for each wave)
- Dog / handler teams will be placed in groups of up to 15 teams within each heat.
- Each team will receive two (2) competition jumps.
- One dog/ handler on the dock at a time.
- All dogs will have the opportunity to acclimate to the dock area prior to their first official competition jump as time permits.
- Allotted practice time based on event time constraints.
- The dock will close to all practice jumping 15 minutes prior to the start of each competition Wave, for competitors' warm-up.
- Handlers or handlers' representatives must be present to accept ribbons and awards.
- Ribbons will be awarded after each wave, so stick around. Ribbons will not be mailed.
- Female dogs in heat will NOT be allowed to compete or in the competition area.
Event Registration
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
- This Splash Dogs event is open to any dog / handler team who wishes to enter. You may do this in one of two ways: Online or on-site
- Fill out the Splash Dogs Western Idaho Fair Dock Jumping Competition online form below and submit.
- Online registration will be available until August 12th. You will need to register on-site if you register after that.
- You will then be required to pay the registration fee, sign a waiver and show papers when you check-in at the event.
- Register on-site at least one hour prior to the heat(s) in which you would like to compete.
- Pre-Registrants will be given PRIORITY for entry in a wave
- Heats will be determined as competitors enter.
- Entry e-mail confirmation -- please provide email address with registration.
- On-site registration will be available only as space permits. Please pre-register early to ensure your spot in a wave.
Registration Fee is $20 and $20 for additional waves, payable to Splash Dogs (cash, check). $10 to practice. If you decide to compete your $10 practice fee will apply towards $20 entry fee. Practice is for Open dock practice
