This is a copy of the message I received yesterday. Does anyone know of a fit?

Dear Sandra,
Amongst all yours and Jim's contact, any thing fit this wish list? A dear friend of mine is looking for a female Lab ( looks and walks and talks like a Lab.) He and his wife have a lovely home In Rocklin. They are 57. Children are adults and no grandkids yet. The husband called me. He misses his old Lab female very much that passed away about 2 years ago. They do have 3 cats so the dog needs to be cat friendly. He said something in the 5-10 year old age range is what he is looking for - the dogs that most people throw away because they are 5-10 years old. I told him I would help him find a new "girlfriend". Any thoughts? I have been on www.petfinder.com and nothing jumps out at me.

Sandra, tell them to go to 'High Sierra Animal Rescue.org". there is a 6 year old mostly lab (black, etc). Named Bosco. This is where I got Tinka from, they are in Portola, Ca. They get 'older' dogs ( and young too) and they keep them until they find them homes. Also they will always take them back - if something in the future happens :(.

Hi Sandra,

Sorry it's been so long! We decided not to compete Hannah this year while we're working on her aggression issues, but I stop in occasionally to see what's happening with my Splash Dogs friends!

We have 5-10 yr old female Labs come into Golden Gate Lab Rescue each week (sometimes several). A couple real cuties got placed quickly so he can see the ones we have or had recently at http://www.labrescue.org/labs-available.html. Elsie is an 8 yr old black girl we have right now that they might take a look at the cute photos and videos on http://www.labrescue.org/labs-available/elsie.html -- we really need to find Elsie a home quickly since her foster is going on a 3 week vacation and all our other fosters are full!

A lot of our Labs get placed quickly so never make it out to PetFinder. It's best to check the Lab Rescue websites directly. Central Cal Lab Rescue is closer to you so watch http://www.cc-labrescue.org/available_list.php -- they have several currently in those parameters so maybe one of them will tug on the heartstrings.

Thanks for helping place another Lab in need!
Cheers,
Cyndi

Thanks for the leads and I have passed these on to Georgie.

Suzie I second that! I think we all miss Cyndi and Miss Hannah. Aggression at the events is really not unusual, ask Tinka and MickeyD! After all they think it's their dock!

Susie & Sandra,

Thanks for the well wishes! I'm going to be at Horse Expo (I go every year since I have horses too) so plan to stop by the dock diving to see my Splash Dog friends.

Cheers!
