We hope to see you all out at the Bay Area Diving Dogs Rock the Dock event next weekend! We will be raising funds to build the first dock jumping training facility in the Western US!
Participants will be allowed to pull up to unload crates/dogs/equipment and then will need to move their cars to nearby parking.
Come help make the first Splash Dogs club event a huge success!

Gunn and Twizzy are thrilled that I'm returning to handling them again...this will be my first time on the dock since my injury on Valentines Day. Yes, it was Feb 14.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone out there to Rock the Dock!

Thanks Linda, it shoud be fun, this dock is a little different as there are no barriers on the side, but I'll be very cautious this time around... I cant wait to get the boys jumping again with me by their side...
I will say, I've had some pretty awesome support over the past few months when it comes to jumping my dogs... Brian has done awesome with Gunn!

Awesome.....Especially since I am announcing.... }:-)
Maybe I should bring my boat instead of the jet ski....more chance of you ending up in the water than a dog taking off!!!

Melissa - that was our practice dock I fell off of in Redwood City, gosh, that was just a few days before the ankle break at the Cow Palace...I think Wendy laughed from the day at the practice dock through the time they wheeled me away in the ambulance! A True Friend...LOL, no seriously had it been her, I would have done the same, whats wrong with our warped minds, lol!!!!
I plan to stay w/two feet on the solid ground and dock and not in the water!

We can put a wrangler at the end of the dock to block you from getting to close to the edge!!

I keep telling Urs that we're going to need a special "Ursula" clause on our club insurance once we have our dock and pool up and running. Or maybe we should just apply it to the whole "Kinley" clan since Amanda seems to have the curse of falling in too!

A big thank you to all the volunteers and competitors that made this weekends event a HUGE success! I measure success in the amount of fun we are out having with our pups! I saw so many happy excited people to be out there for the first time trying to get their pups to jump off the dock into the water! Out of the approximately 50 different pups we had jump over the weekend, I think about 35 were new to the sport! That is incredible!!
To all the people that participated...if you are not members of this message board, please sign up and be part of the community! If you had a great time out at "Rock the Dock" and want to be a part of the Bay Area Diving Dogs (BADD), please send in your application to be part of our club. I know for a fact that at least 15 new people signed up to become members! That would put the club up to about 40 people. We are looking for more of you to join that had a good time out there!
If you have any additional questions or need additional information, you can post on this website or the www.bayareadivingdogs.com website. We all will be happy to help!!
Again...great event and a HUGE thank you to Ursula Kinley, President of BADD for her dedication, drive and passion for the sport of dock diving! Without her energy and devotion this would not have been a successful event!!! Thanks Urs!!!!
Dave and Team Chloe!!
PS....remember to check back here later in the week under the Reults tab the wave and finals results will be listed. Also to see the action that was caught on film...er I mean a digital camera, see www.maxdogphotos.com!

I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of the BADD Members and Tony Reed & Splash Dogs who made this event possible. It was a huge success!
Thank you to all the new dock divers in the Bay Area, everyone who came out to our first event, it was so much fun getting know so many new people and their awesome pups! Wow, I couldn't believe the enthusiasm you all brought to the dock! BRAVO!
I am very proud to say that Gunner, Twizzy and Vandal all made jumps this weekend. Me being the proud handler of my boy Gunner, taking to the dock together for the first time in over 3 months. What alot of people don't know is not only I came back from a major injury, but Gunner did too, he had a major neck injury 6 weeks ago from a fluke accident, but he showed me he is ready to Rock the Dock again. Twizzy made many new friends and many new fans of the bully breeds out there! and Vandal, well she flirted w/as many dogs as possible on the dock and made her first jumps off the dock. I loved having both my girls there, Ally helping out on Saturday w/our tennis ball raffle and little Miss Amanda made the rounds jumping Twizzy, Vandal and even Gunner in dock diving and Super Vertical - good job Mandy!
Congrats to all the finalists in Open and Pro but a special congrats to Team Chloe for taking their very first event WIN!
BADD - you all should be so proud of yourselves, it was alot of work but so very worth it. Without all of you, spectators, competitors new and old, we couldn't have pulled it off without you!

It was alot of fun and alot of work, but so worth it. The majority of the jumpers were newbies, this sport is growing by leaps and bounds.
