Is the lancster event going to be a competition or just a fun jump? There is no registration info on splash dogs or on the events website. Any info?

Thanks! Do you know if it is going to be a regulation dock or just a little mock up like at wags?
Is anybody going?
Crash and I have been practicing and we are just dying to get our paws wet! :)

Hi Guys, Sounds like a fun day! I am hearing that you guys will have around 10 irish water spaniels at the park I know that they are a fun bunch so don't be afraid to tease them about their "Jamacian" hair doo's I am stuck out here in the middle america so I am just a little jealous. I am looking forward to Tony bringing SplashDogs back to Ohio.
You can see Otis & I, On youtube under Splashdogs, Irish Water Spaniels

Irish Water Spaniels - oh man what a great little breed!
I dont think any IWS's have competed in SD before - would be very cool to see some of these guys join us at some events in 2008!

Hi. I have an almost 2 year old Labrador Retriever who loves to swim and jump off the pool deck into the pool. We spend many hours with me throwing items into the pool for her to jump in and retrieve. I have watched the dock jumping on tv and thought it might be something fun for her to try. Is the event on Saturday the type of event where you can bring your dog out just to try it out? Is there a cost?

Just curious, where are you seeing this? I was looking at: http://www.lancasterbarkatthepark.org/activities.htm and either it's in another location or I'm blind!

Hmmm, I'll ask Tony if I talk to him tomorrow (unless Brian knows something and wants to jump in on this). If there are tons of practice dogs I'd be surprised if we stopped practice to do a demo. If we are doing a demo though I'm guessing that Tony will grab a few of the experienced dogs that are there and have them do a few jumps for any crowd that is there.

We will be there with Tractor. I'm really looking forward to it! Get some good practice before November's event.
Is there normally a lot of dogs at these type of events? (meaning.. last year? and for a fun jump?)
